Draft — pending lawyer review

This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a final terms of use. Do not rely on it as a legal document.

What this is

Career Adviser publishes AI-generated information about Australian careers — pathways, entry requirements, universities, likely costs and returns. It is informational, not advice. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, migration or careers-counselling advice, and it should not be treated as a substitute for speaking to a qualified adviser, your school, or the relevant institution directly.

Accuracy

Career documents are generated by an AI model against information gathered from Australian government, admissions and institutional sources at the time of generation. Admissions requirements, costs and rankings change — a document is considered current for 365 days from generation, after which it is flagged as possibly out of date. Always confirm course details, entry requirements and closing dates directly with the institution or your state’s admissions centre before acting on anything here.

If you believe something published is materially wrong, tell us — we would rather fix it than have it stand.

Cost, salary and return figures

The money section of every career dossier, and the numbers in a personalised plan, are indicative estimates only and general in nature. They are modelled in your browser from published rates and typical costs — student contribution bands, indexation, compulsory repayment rates and salary ranges gathered at the date of compilation. They are not quotes, and they are not a projection of what you personally will pay or earn.

Nothing in that section takes account of your objectives, financial situation or needs. It is not personal financial, legal or taxation advice, and it is not a recommendation to enrol in a course, take on a study loan, or enter an occupation. Course fees, indexation rates, repayment thresholds and salaries all change, and a figure that was accurate at compilation may not be accurate when you read it.

Before acting on any figure on this site, speak to a qualified financial adviser about your own circumstances, and confirm course costs and fees directly with the institution and your state’s admissions centre.

Accounts

Reading the published catalogue never requires an account. An account is needed to request a career, vote on one, or generate a personalised plan. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Do not share your login.

Acceptable use

Use this site for its intended purpose — researching careers and, where relevant, your own personalised plan. Do not attempt to bypass the monthly request limits, scrape the site at scale, or use the request queue to spam career titles you do not genuinely want researched. We may suspend an account that abuses either.

Personalised plans

Personalised plans are generated against the circumstances you provide and are private to your account. Like the rest of the site they are general information, not personalised career counselling or financial advice. The site takes no payments; if that ever changes, these terms will be updated before it does.

Intellectual property

Published career content belongs to us. You may read it, share a link to it, and quote it with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale as your own content.

Termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us — see the Privacy page for what that involves.

Liability

This site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of information published here. See “Accuracy” above — verify anything that matters before acting on it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes

We will update these terms as the site changes, particularly before any paid feature goes live. Significant changes will be dated.
